Stylish mid century chest of drawers manufactured in 1962 by Staverton (Devon) This chest of drawers was originally commissioned for the British Air Ministry (AM) for use by the Royal Air Force (RAF). Built to demanding government specifications, Staverton furniture is celebrated for its exceptional build quality, robust joinery, and clean, utilitarian aesthetic.
Condition
Decent condition. The chest is structurally sound. The panel on one of the sides shows some vintage wear where the original lacquer finish has dried out, causing some surface crazing and lifting. There are also some marks on the top and some small chips to the veneer on the back top edge and the top, side edge.
